lol, I think Nell will eventually go back to her regular form, and I dont know why I think Inoue would be a water type, thats just what popped in my head when I was thinking about it

Nell's been like that for awhile though its weird bcuz out of nowhere really she just changed back.

...but yeah she hurt the dude in black, and her powers don't seem to have grown that much, I mean she still uses the same shield when Ichigo is fighting Grimmjow right now in the anime (ep 166)...
Inoue's powers ain't suited for offense, she only has the one dude while all the other ones are for defense, and he's dressed in black, so if she were to have an element I'd say earth. Although the people themselves do fly around with wings and stuff, so maybe an highly unlikely air-earth-combo???

Yeah, released Nel is awesome.
And Inoue's power has certainly grown, but she uses the same shield because that is what her power is! She may have other moves or whatnot, but, she will always have that shield. Just the power of the shield increases.
And yeah, the more I think about it, she would be earth, air possibly, but earth definately
