Re: Favorite Battles
hmm... Byakuya vs. Ichigo was a good battle... showing Ichigo doing bankai for the first time and his hollow taking over.
I'd say Hitsugaya vs. Gin is the best so far in the anime.

Re: Favorite Battles
Gin v. Hitsu was only good because we got to see Gin's eyes... it was over too fast, though.
My favorite was Ichi v. Zaraki, because it was a deliciously madcap, no-frills bloodfest, which is a nice breath of fresh air in a shonen series like Bleach.
Ichi v. Byaku was excellent as well, but obviously the flavor was totally different... but very epic, lol. Very epic.

Re: Favorite Battles
Hahaha the eyes they showed were red because Kubo hadn't drawn them in colors yet. Later on it was revealed that Gin's eyes were actually blue/green.
So no, I wouldn't say that the highlight of the battle was a misinterpretation and communication failure revolving the color of Gin's eyes. I liked how Hinamori attacked Hitsugaya and how he then fought Gin in his despair.

Re: Favorite Battles
But we still got to see them!
Anyway... yeah, I'm starting to remember that. It was still a short fight, though. It was interesting and compelling as a psychological moment, but as an actual battle... ehh.

Re: Favorite Battles
Yeah.. and I take it "actual battle" is defined as "bloodfest" in your vocabulary?

Re: Favorite Battles
So far, my favourite battle is "Ichigo vs Byakuya". Even more so for what happened BEFORE the actual duel, with Ichigo taking out 3 lieutenants at once with just his bare hands ! As for the actual battle, it was brilliant when Ichigo used high-speed flash steps alongside his brand new Tensa Zangetsu to combat Byakuya's three-stage Bankai. If the intense combat maneuvers weren't enough Hollow Ichigo takes over 1/3 of the fight to boot!

Re: Favorite Battles
Yeah that battle was pretty immense... I liked the way he just shattered the "cross" with his sword and what you mentioned with the lieutenants there. Good battle indeed.

Re: Favorite Battles
Thanks . Although, the one battle I'm sure everyone's looking forward to, is "Ichigo vs Grimmjow" in Hueco Mundo. Now THAT fight, is a taste of Hell

Re: Favorite Battles
My Favorite fight wasn't any of the new battles, but the one between Grand Fisher and Ichigo. I liked it because there was a lot of history that was revealed during that episode, and it was the fight that set the wheels of motion for Bleach. Fighting to Protect someone is nice, but fighting for revenge is always a better motivater.
Next favorite was Ichigo vs Byakuya, reason finally someone put that cocky bast*** in his place.
Off-Topic a fight I would like to see is Kisuke Urahara vs Mayuri Kurotsuchi

Re: Favorite Battles
in my opinion the best battle was the one between Ikkaku and that one Arrancar(can't remember his name)for me it was one of the most epic moments in Bleach and I was literally at the edge of my seat cause it was so awesome to me when Ikkaku used his Bankai

I agree Gin is one of my favorite characters and I just love seeing how evil he is.

Re: Favorite Battles
I will agree that the battle was epic but the ending was very anti-climatic .......
- Spoiler:
- I mean Kenpachi beat the 5th strongest Espada just by gripping his sword with two hands >_>. I mean it was very Kenpachi like, I guess I just had my hopes to high that he would have something better.

Re: Favorite Battles
Yeah it should be rather enjoyable to watch, what I am wondering is if Aizen and the crew already left for the real world, and Ichigo and his crew are stuck in Hueco Mundo, I wonder if Ulquiorra might fight with one of them when he breaks free from that trap Grimmjow put him in.
